If you’re always on sale, then you’re not receiving what you’re worth. And if you’re always on sale then do people really appreciate you for your real qualities?
What if you didn’t sell yourself short?
What if your morals couldn’t be bought?
What if you didn’t sell out on your dream? or your gifts?
What if you bought in to the real value of yourself?
What if you received what you’re worth?
What if you invested in your dream? or your gifts?
I see it so often that people think they need to be everything to everyone. Not just in a business sense but in a personal sense too. But the thing is that if you’re everything to everyone, who are you for you? This is selling out on yourself and your own unique blend of skills and expertise. We think that we should just accept what we are offered for our skills and expertise but really, we diminish our own sense of self by doing this. I began charging a small price and would put out sales and special prices but you know what I received in kind for these offers? People who didn’t appreciate the process, people who didn’t appreciate my time or expertise and people who would expect more for less. What I put out there by trying to cater to everyone is exactly what I got – a diminished perception of my gifts.
Now I’m not talking about money here either. I’m talking about time, emotions, food and much much more.
Where have you sold out on a dream because you thought someone knew what was better for you?
Where have you bought into someone else’s perception of you and your abilities?
Where have you invested in someone else’s dream at the expense of your own?
Where have you chosen someone else’s time over your own?
Where have you invested bad food into your body when you know you were worth investing in high quality nourishing food?
What would it take for you to buy into your own gifts?
What would it take for you to buy into your own dream or goal?
How could you invest in these for yourself? (Food, money, emotions, mind set, time etc)
How much are these gifts and dreams worth to you?
How would they improve your sense of self worth?
And if your worth was improved, then how else would life generally improve?
It all has a flow on effect.
Buy into yourself and watch your investment pay dividends.
